and now for something completely different
SO, today is Blog Day, in which we ask ourselves, how has blogging been this year?
I think this year has been the year of the real explosion. Blogging has been around for ages, and has constantly been growing, and with the advent and popularity of trackbacking, RSS feeds and smart web2.0 crap, it’s beginning to become something every single person in (priveleged) society owes himself to participate in. The ‘blogosphere’ is a discourse community. Well, it’s a lot of discourse communities, but it’s on the net, and by virtue of that alone – and with a little help from some nifty little tools – it becomes a huge participatory forum. Blogs are judged almost solely on their content, which is a new thing not only to the web, but anywhere. I read most of my blogs via RSS, I don’t even care how they look like in a browser.
Anyway, with this in mind, any improvements you think I should add here? Obviously, more quality content goes without saying.. Do the linkdumps work for you? Any other suggestions..?
I won’t be posting 5 blog posts just for this blogday schtick, because I honestly feel that if I don’t have anything worthwhile to say, it’s best that I shut up and keep your feeds quiet. It’s tough keeping a good signal-to-noise ratio on this thing as is, as well as still post frequently enough not to lose what little readership I have (I know you’re out there, somewhere). So there. See you on the other side..

I didn’t know it was blog day… I guess I am too self involved to notice that the most self indulgent habbit has a day in its honor…
Anywho, I thinki your blog is lovely, however, I suggest pictures of handsome Italian actors every day, to my rss feed of your site.
Ciao
